Choosing the Right Appointment

Start with the Consultation That Matches Your Concerns

You do not need to know exactly which treatment you require before booking. Begin by choosing the consultation category that most closely reflects what you would like to discuss.

Facial Aesthetics Consultation

Choose this consultation if you are concerned about facial lines and would like to understand whether treatment may be appropriate. Your appointment will focus on your facial characteristics, movement, areas of concern, medical suitability and desired outcome.

Hair Restoration Consultation

Choose this consultation if you are concerned about hair thinning, a changing hairline, reduced density, a widening parting or suitable forms of beard thinning. Your appointment will explore the pattern and history of the changes you have noticed and whether Elevate's programme may be suitable.

If you are unsure which consultation to choose, call Call 07359 246047 or use the contact form to send a general enquiry. Questions requiring individual assessment cannot always be answered fully before a formal consultation.

Before Your Appointment

Information That Helps Us Understand Your Needs

You may be asked to provide information about:

  • Your main concerns
  • When you first noticed the changes
  • What you would realistically like to achieve
  • Relevant medical conditions
  • Current medication and supplements
  • Known allergies
  • Previous cosmetic or hair treatments
  • Products currently used at home
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding, where relevant
  • Previous complications or unexpected treatment responses

Please provide complete and accurate information. Details that appear unrelated may still affect whether a treatment is suitable.

For hair restoration consultations: where possible, attend with your hair and scalp clean and free from fibres, concealers, heavy styling products or coloured scalp sprays. Bring details of any recent blood tests, medical advice or hair-loss treatments if these are relevant and available.

For facial aesthetics consultations: bring details of previous facial aesthetics treatments, including approximate dates and any unexpected reactions or complications.

A Conversation Before Treatment

Time to Discuss What Has Brought You to Elevate

Your consultation begins with a conversation. James will ask what concerns you, how long you have been considering treatment and what you hope could change.

You will also have an opportunity to explain any worries you have about treatment, previous experiences or results you want to avoid.

The purpose of the consultation is not to persuade you to proceed. It is to establish whether Elevate may be able to help and give you the information needed to make your own decision.

What the consultation should establish:

  • The concern you would like to address
  • Your desired outcome
  • Relevant health and treatment history
  • Whether there are reasons treatment should be avoided or postponed
  • Which options may be worth considering
  • What treatment may realistically achieve
  • What it cannot guarantee
  • Likely timescales and aftercare
  • The expected cost
  • Whether further assessment is needed

Facial Aesthetics Journey

Understanding Your Face and the Outcome You Want

A facial aesthetics consultation considers more than the lines visible when your face is still. James may ask you to make natural facial expressions so he can observe movement and understand the areas that concern you.

The discussion may consider:

  • The lines or facial changes you have noticed
  • Whether they appear at rest, during movement or both
  • Your natural facial characteristics
  • Previous treatments and how you responded
  • The result you would like to achieve
  • The importance of maintaining natural expression
  • Medical suitability and contraindications
  • Whether treatment is appropriate

Facial aesthetics treatment is not automatically recommended following consultation. If a prescription-only option is being considered, the required assessment and prescribing process must be completed before treatment can proceed.

Hair Restoration Journey

Understanding the Pattern and History of Your Hair Changes

Hair loss can develop for several reasons. A consultation helps James understand what you have noticed and whether Elevate's programme could be appropriate.

The discussion may include:

  • When the thinning or shedding began
  • Whether the change was gradual or sudden
  • The areas of the scalp or beard affected
  • Relevant family history
  • Recent illness, stress or lifestyle changes
  • Current health conditions and medication
  • Hormonal changes, including perimenopause or menopause
  • Previous hair treatments and home-care products
  • Any scalp discomfort, irritation or visible changes
  • Your expectations and desired outcome

Where appropriate, the assessment may also include standardised baseline photography. If the pattern or symptoms require investigation, treatment may be postponed while you seek advice from your GP, dermatologist or another appropriate professional.

After Your Assessment

Clear Recommendations Based on Your Individual Circumstances

Following your assessment, James will explain whether he believes a treatment or programme may be suitable. Where appropriate, your recommendation will cover:

  • The proposed treatment or programme
  • Why it has been recommended
  • What it may realistically achieve
  • Important limitations
  • Potential risks and side effects
  • The number and timing of appointments
  • Expected aftercare
  • When results may begin to be assessed
  • The full expected cost
  • Any maintenance that may be discussed
  • Alternative next steps where relevant

There may also be occasions when James recommends no treatment. This may be because the proposed service is unlikely to address your concern, a contraindication is present, expectations cannot reasonably be met or further medical advice is needed.

No Pressure to Proceed

Make the Decision That Feels Right for You

A consultation should leave you better informed, not pressured. You can ask questions, consider the recommendation and decide whether you feel comfortable proceeding.

Where a separate prescribing consultation, cooling-off period or further assessment is required, the next steps will be explained clearly.

Attending a consultation does not commit you to treatment, and choosing not to proceed will not affect your ability to contact Elevate again in the future.

When a Prescription Is Required

Completing the Appropriate Prescribing Assessment

Some facial aesthetics treatments involve prescription-only medicines. Where this applies, an appropriately qualified prescriber must assess whether treatment is suitable and decide whether a prescription should be issued.

  1. 01

    1. Complete Your Consultation

You attend your initial consultation to discuss your concerns and options.

  2. 02

    2. Arrange the Prescribing Assessment

The required prescribing assessment is arranged.

  3. 03

    3. Prescriber Review

The prescriber reviews your suitability for treatment.

  4. 04

    4. Treatment Proceeds When Appropriate

Treatment proceeds only when appropriately prescribed. If treatment is unsuitable, this is explained to you.

A prescription is never guaranteed simply because an appointment has been booked. Detailed prescriber credentials are available on our Professional Standards page.

Your Appointment

What Happens Before Treatment Begins

When you attend your treatment appointment, James will confirm:

  • Whether anything has changed since your consultation
  • Whether you have started any new medication
  • Whether you remain comfortable proceeding
  • The agreed treatment plan
  • The expected outcome and limitations
  • Important risks and aftercare
  • The final cost
  • That you have had an opportunity to ask questions

Relevant photography may be completed before treatment begins. The treatment itself will then be carried out in accordance with the agreed plan. Appointment length will depend on the service being provided.

After Your Treatment

Clear Guidance for the Days That Follow

You will receive aftercare information relevant to your treatment. This will explain:

  • What you may notice afterwards
  • How to care for the treated area
  • Activities or products to avoid
  • When normal activities can usually resume
  • When a review may be recommended
  • How to contact Elevate if you have a concern
  • When urgent professional or medical advice should be sought

Please follow the guidance provided and contact Elevate if your recovery differs from what was explained. For post-treatment questions, contact Call 07359 246047.

A Structured Programme

Monitoring Your Hair Restoration Journey

Hair restoration should not be judged immediately after one treatment. Where you begin a structured programme, reviews may be used to discuss how your scalp responded, monitor adherence, take consistent progress photographs and consider future care.

  1. Consultation

    Assessment and Baseline Photography

Your consultation establishes suitability and, where appropriate, standardised baseline photography.

  2. Treatment

    Scheduled Programme Sessions

Sessions take place in line with your agreed programme and home-care guidance.

  3. Reviews

    Progress Reviews and Photography

Reviews discuss how your scalp responded, monitor adherence and use consistent progress photography.

  4. Ongoing

    Maintenance Discussion

Future care or maintenance is considered as part of your ongoing plan.

Progress photography uses consistent lighting, positioning, angles and hair preparation wherever possible. Results vary, and no programme can guarantee hair regrowth. Reviews are intended to support honest monitoring rather than manufacture dramatic comparisons.

Honest Professional Boundaries

Sometimes the Right Recommendation Is Not to Treat

Treatment may be declined, postponed or reconsidered when:

  • A contraindication is identified
  • Your health or medication affects suitability
  • Your expectations cannot reasonably be met
  • The cause of hair loss requires investigation
  • A scalp or skin concern needs medical assessment
  • The treatment falls outside Elevate's scope
  • The potential benefit does not justify proceeding
  • Additional prescribing or professional advice is required

If this happens, James will explain the reason and recommend an appropriate next step where possible. Being advised not to proceed does not mean your concerns have not been taken seriously. It means that responsible care must come before treatment.

You do not need to have everything worked out before contacting Elevate. Tell us what concerns you, and James will help you understand whether a facial aesthetics treatment or hair restoration programme may be suitable.

All treatments are subject to consultation, assessment and individual suitability. Results vary between individuals and cannot be guaranteed. Where appropriate, clients may be advised to seek assessment from their GP or another healthcare professional.
