What Is an Anti-Wrinkle Consultation for Women?

An anti-wrinkle consultation is an individual facial assessment for adult women concerned about lines that appear during expression or remain visible while the face is resting.

James will consider your natural facial movement, areas of concern, medical suitability and desired outcome before explaining whether a treatment may be appropriate.

A relevant prescribing assessment is required where a prescription-only treatment is being considered.

A Personalised Approach to Facial Ageing

Look Refreshed While Still Looking Like Yourself

Facial lines are a natural part of ageing. They reflect expression, movement and the experiences that shape an individual face. However, some women feel that particular lines make them appear more tired, tense or concerned than they feel.

Elevate Aesthetics provides a professional environment where you can discuss these concerns without pressure to pursue a particular look. James will listen to what you would like to improve, assess your individual facial characteristics and explain whether treatment may be appropriate.

The aim is not to remove every line or create a standardised appearance. Any recommendation should reflect your face, your preferences and realistic expectations.

What Would You Like to Address?

Facial Lines and Changes You May Have Noticed

  • Forehead Lines

Horizontal lines that become visible when raising the eyebrows or remain noticeable while the face is relaxed.

  • Frown Lines

Lines between the eyebrows that may create a tense, stern or concerned expression.

  • Lines Around the Eyes

Lines around the outer eye area that become more visible during smiling and natural facial movement.

  • Looking More Tired Than You Feel

Facial lines or patterns of expression that you feel give the impression of tiredness.

  • Changes in Natural Expression

Concerns that your resting expression no longer reflects how you feel.

  • Maintaining a Natural Appearance

Understanding whether a restrained approach could soften selected lines without removing natural movement.

These concerns do not automatically mean treatment will be suitable. Your consultation will consider your face as a whole rather than treating a requested area in isolation.

Individual Facial Assessment

Treatment Planning Built Around Your Natural Characteristics

Every woman’s face moves and ages differently. Facial structure, natural movement, skin, previous treatment, lifestyle and individual preferences can all influence the concerns you notice and the outcome you would like.

During your consultation, James may consider the lines that concern you, how your face moves during expression, your natural eyebrow position, facial balance and proportions, previous aesthetics treatments and how you responded to them, features you would like to maintain, the result you want to avoid, and your medical suitability.

A standard plan should not be applied to every woman simply because she is concerned about the same general area.

New to Facial Aesthetics?

You Do Not Need to Arrive Knowing What Treatment You Want

Many women booking a consultation have never had facial aesthetics treatment before. You may feel uncertain about whether treatment is right for you, what a natural-looking result means, whether you will retain facial movement, the potential risks, the expected cost or what happens if you decide not to proceed.

Your consultation gives you time to ask these questions and understand the available information. James will not expect you to use technical terminology or arrive with a fixed treatment plan. Begin by explaining what you have noticed and what you would like to understand.

Your First Appointment

A Conversation and Assessment Before Treatment

  1. 01

    Discuss Your Concerns

Explain which facial changes you have noticed and how you would ideally like to look or feel.

  2. 02

    Review Relevant Information

James will ask about your health, medication, allergies, previous treatment and any unexpected reactions.

  3. 03

    Assess Your Facial Movement

You may be asked to make natural expressions so James can assess movement, facial balance and the areas that concern you.

  4. 04

    Understand Your Options

Suitability, possible outcomes, limitations, risks, prescribing requirements, aftercare and costs will be explained.

Attending a consultation does not commit you to treatment.

Treatment Must Be Suitable and Properly Prescribed

Some facial aesthetics treatments involve prescription-only medicines. Where this applies, an appropriately qualified prescriber must assess your suitability and decide whether a prescription should be issued. A prescription is not guaranteed simply because you have booked an appointment.

Treatment may be unsuitable or need to be postponed because of relevant health conditions, current medication, allergies, pregnancy or breastfeeding, previous unexpected reactions, infection or inflammation in the treatment area, recent facial aesthetics treatment, planned medical or dental procedures, expectations that cannot reasonably be met, or other individual contraindications.

The final suitability decision can only be made through the appropriate consultation and prescribing process.

Your Treatment Goals

Subtle Does Not Mean the Same Thing to Every Woman

Some women want a very restrained change. Others are comfortable with a more noticeable softening of selected lines. There is no single result that is right for everyone.

A natural-looking plan may involve respecting your facial proportions, maintaining appropriate expression, avoiding a standardised appearance, considering the relationship between different facial areas, discussing the degree of change you would feel comfortable with and setting realistic expectations before treatment.

You should also explain any outcome you specifically want to avoid. Individual responses differ, and James cannot promise a precise appearance or an outcome that no one else will notice.

Before Your Treatment Appointment

Tell James about current medication and supplements, relevant health conditions, allergies, pregnancy or breastfeeding, previous facial aesthetics treatment, previous unexpected reactions, recent illness or infection, planned medical or dental procedures, and any changes since your consultation. Do not stop prescribed medication unless instructed by the healthcare professional responsible for your care.

On the Day of Treatment

Before treatment begins, James will confirm what has changed, the agreed treatment plan, potential outcomes and limitations, important risks and side effects, and the final cost. You will have another opportunity to ask questions, and consent can be withdrawn before treatment if you decide not to proceed.

After Your Appointment

Clear Guidance and Continued Support

You will receive treatment-specific aftercare information covering what you may notice afterwards, how to care for the treated area, activities or products to avoid, when normal activities can usually resume and when a review may be appropriate. Individual responses differ — contact Elevate if anything concerns you or differs from what was explained.

Sometimes the Right Recommendation Is Not to Proceed

James may advise against treatment when it is unlikely to address your main concern, your desired outcome cannot reasonably be achieved, a contraindication is identified, further assessment is needed, or the potential risks outweigh the likely benefit.

If treatment is not recommended, James will explain why and discuss an appropriate next step where possible. The purpose of consultation is to help you make an informed decision, not to ensure that every appointment results in treatment.

Clear Information Before You Decide

Your consultation fee should be displayed clearly when booking. The cost of any recommended treatment will be explained following individual assessment and before you decide whether to proceed.
